UMBRA X NOTRE DAME

This design is part of a company sponsored project by Umbra with my Advanced Design class at Notre Dame. Founded in 1979 in Toronto, Canada, Umbra is a design company recognized for bringing intelligent housewares to customers around the world.

In this collaboration, Umbra challenged us to research, develop, and execute an original design that involves integrating technology and the home. As tech is increasingly being integrated into home products, this provided us a unique opportunity to work from Umbra’s expertise in housewares in order to create a more seamless smart home user experiences.

Centric Rotating Planter received Third place in the competition and will have the opportunity to be manufactured.
